The approach

Your idea is
where we begin.

A personal collaboration with room for creative interpretation. Here’s how an idea becomes a piece of furniture.

01
The conversation

Tell me what you need.

How will you use the piece? Where will it live? What are you drawn to? We’ll talk through your space, practical requirements, preferred materials, investment, and timing. You don’t need a finished design to start.

02
The creative direction

I explore what it could become.

I interpret your ideas through form, proportion, and materials. SketchUp drawings and AI-assisted concept renderings can help us explore possibilities and establish a shared direction.

Concept images illustrate an idea. They are not an exact promise of the final piece.

03
The commission

Define the scope together.

Before the build, we agree on the overall design direction, materials, approximate dimensions, pricing, and project terms. The scope makes space for both your needs and my role as the creator.

04
The making

The material has its say.

Grain, natural edges, color, and the way a form comes together guide decisions in the studio. Your input stays part of the conversation as I refine the details and bring the piece to life.

The finished work reflects the agreed direction, with the natural variation of the material and the maker’s creative interpretation.

Before we begin

A few good
questions.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. A practical need, a room, an inspiration photo, or a rough idea is enough to begin our conversation.

What should I plan to invest?

Commissions begin at $1,000. Materials, size, construction, and complexity determine the quote. More involved pieces can reach $10,000 and beyond.

Will my piece look exactly like a rendering?

Renderings communicate an overall design direction. Natural grain, color, and the creative decisions made during the build give the finished piece its own character. We discuss that interpretation as part of the commission.

Can I commission something inspired by the portfolio?

Absolutely. Tell me which piece speaks to you and what you need. We can use it as a starting point for a design with its own proportions, materials, and purpose.

How long does a commission take?

Most commissions take about 6–10 weeks: one to two weeks to source materials, then the build. Larger pieces can take longer. Share your ideal timeline in your inquiry so we can plan around it.

Do you deliver and install?

Yes. I deliver and install across the Denver metro. If you’re farther away, include your location in your inquiry and we’ll talk through options.

A commission begins with a conversation

What have you
been imagining?

A particular space. A practical need. An idea you can’t quite put into words. That’s enough to begin.
